The Tokina SX 2X EXTENDER for T-mount (TA-020) is a universal optical teleconverter that doubles the focal length of the lens. As a result, the focal length of the SZX SUPER TELE 400mm F8 Reflex MF becomes:

  • 800mm on a full-frame camera,
  • 1200mm on an APS-C camera,
  • 1600mm on a Micro Four Thirds camera.

The Tokina 2X Extender uses the standard T-mount system and is installed between the lens and the mount adapter. It is recommended for long-distance photography when the 400mm focal length does not provide sufficient magnification to reach the desired subject.
